How to Show Nice Manners to Thieves

Over on Facebook, we’re crafting a strategy whereby I can be more welcoming and accommodating of the jackwads who keep breaking into my car. My mama taught me that a hand-written note goes a long way toward personalizing one’s message. So I’m going to start by leaving this note on my steering wheel at night:
Maybe with a plate of cookies?

Love it! Haven’t had that problem and hope to never have it, but if I do, you’ve given me a fine blueprint!
I had my car broken into a few years ago. I was really annoyed. Especially since they took my son’s preschool bag. Wish I could send your “loving” thoughts to that scumbag as well.
Yeah, it’s a creepy feeling, opening your car door to see that all your stuff has been moved around. Even — or especially? — if you have so little stuff in your car as to make it absolutely senseless to break in and mess with it.
This is hilarious! Thanks for sharing.

Besides having what I consider the best title of any blog (“I Miss You When I Blink”), cribbed from something the author’s child once said, she is smart, sassy and a freakin’ hoot. Why not check out this installation…
“Have a blessed day, Motherfucker”
An ending that is so dear to my heart. Hope it works!
